died Monday, December 13, 2010, at her residence at Presbyterian Homes Waverly Gardens in North Oaks.

She was born October 5, 1924 in Cumberland, Wisconsin to Amedeo A�??AmyA�?? and Anna (Caliguire) Zappa.

Adeline was raised in Cumberland, Wisconsin where she graduated from Cumberland High School in 1942. On September 13, 1947, she married Albert Grilli at St. Anthony Abbot Church in Cumberland.

They moved to St. Paul and lived in the area of Hillcrest Shopping Center for 30 years. Adeline worked for the Department of Manpower Services for the State of Minnesota and was an active member of Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church in Maplewood, volunteering for many parish functions.

Nearing retirement, Adeline and Albert moved back to Cumberland, Wisconsin in 1978, residing on Beaver Dam Lake. They were active members of St. Anthony Abbot Catholic Church in Cumberland. She worked at the City Bakery and the Food-N-Fuel store. She enjoyed arts and crafts, loved to paint pictures, doing needlework, knitting and crocheting. Adeline was active in the community and helped start the Arts Council in Cumberland, was a member of the Spicettes

Homemaker Club, the Piecemakers Quilt group, St. Ann's Circle, and helped at the Cumberland Senior Citizens Center.

Later, Adeline and Albert were residents of Amery, Wisconsin, and later Shoreview, Minnesota before living at Waverly Gardens in North Oaks. They were members of St. Odilia Catholic Church, Shoreview.

Adeline is survived by two sons, Thomas (Catherine) Grilli of Birchwood, Wisconsin, James (Linda) Grilli of Woodbury; one daughter, Joanne (Osten) Smith of Lino Lakes; six grandchildren, Deanna (Robert) Halmes, Christina (John) Meador, David Grilli, Anna Grilli, Laura Grilli, and Kelsi Smith; two great-grandchildren, Natalie and Anthony Halmes. She is also survived by two

sisters, Delores Ytreus of Bellflower, California, and Lucille Robinson of Coon Rapids; and one brother, Robert (Donna) Zappa of St. Paul Park. Besides her parents, Adeline was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Grilli, May 12, 2010; two brothers, Emil and Raymond Zappa; and one sister, Edna Anderson.

Visitation Friday, December 17, 2010 from 4-7PM with prayer service at 4PM at BRADSHAW CELEBRATION OF LIFE CENTER, 4600 Greenhaven Drive at Hwy 96 (one mile west pf 35E), White Bear.

A Funeral Mass will be Saturday, December 18, 2010 at 10:30AM at St. Anthony Abbot Catholic Church, Cumberland, Wisconsin, with Father David Lusson officiating. Visitation will begin at the church at 9:30AM. The Rite of Committal will follow the Mass at St. Anthony Abbot Cemetery, Cumberland.

Funeral arrangements are being handled by Bradshaw Funeral Home in White Bear, and Skinner Funeral Home in Cumberland, Wisconsin.
