Anne Nymann

d. April 29, 2010

Anne Margaret (Gale) Nymann (86) was born April 19, 1924 to Alfred and Mary Ethel (Cline) Gale in Braintree, Massachusetts. She spent most of her growing up years in Branford, Connecticut. On September 9, 1944, she married Air Force 1 st Lieutenant Gordon Douglas Nymann in Boca Raton, Florida. During their nearly 58 years of marriage, they raised two daughters and resided primarily in southern Minnesota and the north metro of the Twin Cities. At a very young age, Anne became of a follower of Christ. She enthusiastically shared her love of Christ with everyone from her own family and friends to store clerks and waitresses. Even in the last stages of Alzheimer's, her faith shone through her smile and compliant spirit. A lover of people, Anne attracted those of all ages and walks of life. More often than not, her lunch calendar was filled with family and friends seeking her counsel and company. She made everyone feel special and loved, and those feelings were extended back to her. Anne was also known for her music. She received lessons at an early age from her concert-pianist aunt. Later, she taught piano as well as served as an accompanist and choir director at her church. Many fond moments were spent gathering around the piano and singing with family. Poetry was another gift of Anne's. She was first published as a teenager in the local paper and later as an adult in various publications.

Beholding Him

No merit,

yet my Savior bade me come

to sup with Him

and share a feast that only

He could spread before my eyes,

and in the vast abundance, endless resource

of His strength, that never dies,

His grace

compelled me to look up

where I caught sight of Him alone.

and in full view

I bowed my heart in conquest

of that love, so beautifully revealed,

and in a moment

knew His presence, as my heart He sealed.

Heaven-yes;

Forever-yes, but so much more.

He gave himself,

and as I see His beauty so unspent;

experience His love, His great concern for me;

throughout the ages I will look on Him

who bore the task, to set me free.
