Ben was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Born in Curinga, Italy in 1918 and emigrated to the United States at age 3. He was an Army Veteran of WWII, serving primarily in Europe and North Africa. Ben and his family were charter members of Christ The King Lutheran Church. He was a musician, sculptor, poet and an avid sailor. Member of Bald Eagle Yacht Club and Lake City Yacht Club. Preceded in death by son, Frank. Survived by beloved wife, Dorothy of 64 years; daughters, Lucy (Ted) Merrell, Mary (Dan) Torgersen, and Chris (John) Kipp; grandchildren, Tori and Nelson Merrell, Kurt and Neil Torgersen, Ben, Adam, and Orin Kipp, Dante and Micah Vono; 7 great grandchildren; sister, Mary Taylor; nieces and nephews. He set the bar for his children, their spouses and his grandchildren and steered their lives and supported their dreams. Service Friday 11:00AM at CHRIST THE KING LUTHERAN CHURCH, 1660 Birch Lake Avenue, White Bear. Interment Evergreen Memorial Gardens. Visitation Thursday, (TODAY) 4-7PM at BRADSHAW CELEBRATION OF LIFE CENTER, 4600 Greenhaven Drive at Highway 96 (one mile west of 35E), White Bear and one hour prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers memorials preferred to Christ The King Church. A special thank you to the staff at Croixdale for your loving care.
