Bob Helie, age 70, died on Saturday, November 25th, 2017, in Edmond, Oklahoma. He was born on May 18,1947, in Alexandria, Minnesota to Lawrence and Jean (Springer) Helie. He made his choice at the age of nine to serve God and served faithfully to the end. He proudly served in the U.S. Army and Reserves for 24 years, including a tour in Vietnam. After his active duty service, he pursued his schooling, started his family with his loving wife Lori, and began his love of educating. He was a man of endless talents which included silk screening, bus driver, teacher, and master woodsman. Not one word or title could encompass his many skills, talents, and passions. His willingness to help EVERYONE was unparalleled. He will be sorely missed, but his love, kindness, and compassion still lives on in us all.
