Age 97, passed away on January 9, 2014 in Red Wing, MN. Chester was born January 23, 1916 in St. Paul. He lived in St. Paul until moving to Red Wing in 2009. Preceded in death by wife Leona, parents John and Jenny Gordon, brothers John and Henry and sister, Jenny. He is survived by 8 nieces and 1 nephew. Chester was employed by Swift and Co. and then by the MN Dept. of Transportation until retirement. Special thanks to the caregivers at Deer Crest and Mayo Hospice for taking care of our Uncle Chet. A memorial service will be held at Deer Crest, 470 Hewitt Blvd, Red Wing on Sunday, January 26 at 2:30 p.m. Memorials preferred to Deer Crest, Mayo Hospice or donor's choice.
