Chester Schoenrock

d. November 11, 2010

Age 84

Of Oakdale

Left this world to join his Lord and heavenly family on November 11, 2010. This earth lost a kind, hard working, generous, fun-loving man. We thought he was the best husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He was our strength, our hero and we loved him so much. We will miss him but he remains with us as part of who we have become. Proud 3rd generation owner of William Schoenrock & Sons Monument Company. Preceded in death by parents, Raymond and Kathryn; brother, Raymond, Jr.; and son-in-law, Noel Misgen. Survived by loving wife of 63 years, Ann; children, Diane Misgen, Sandy (Greg) Capra, Joelann (Terry "T") Strehlo, Robert (Cindy) and Tammy Kluge; brother, William; in-laws, Fran & Marlene Blatzheim, Nick & Colleen, John & Jean, Barb, and Evie Charles. Grandpa Chester will be lovingly remembered by 13 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren (with one more on the way), as the big guy that teased them, made them giggle and always gave them a bear hug and a couple of dollars. He will be lovingly remembered by numerous nieces and nephews. He was active in many community groups including the Masonic Triune Lodge, Osman Temple Shriners, North End Business Association and Roseville Lions Club. He was selected Tittan, Prince of the North Wind and also served on the board of directors of the St. Paul Winter Carnival. He was the recipient of the Sal Lobaido Volunteer Service Award, served as Grand Marshall of the Rice Street Festival and was a member of Gustavus Adolphus Lutheran Church. Chester was a Navy veteran serving during WWII on the USS West Virginia. Service Monday, 11A.M. at GUSTAVUS ADOLPHUS LUTHERAN CHURCH, 1669 Arcade Street North, Saint Paul. Entombment Roselawn Cemetery. Visitation Sunday (TODAY), 3-7 P.M. at BRADSHAW, 4600 Greenhaven Drive at Highway 96 (one mile west of 35E), White Bear and also one hour prior to the service at church.
