David (Dave) Edwin Kriebel, 75, of Mt Olivet Nursing Home, passed away peacefully on October 8th at the VA Hospital in Minneapolis from complications of heart disease. Born on May 13, 1943 in Norfolk, Virginia, to Edwin and Avis (Wiuff) Kriebel. Graduate of Roosevelt High School and the U of M. Loyal Twins and Gophers fan who watched all their games even in his last few months. He served in the Air Force for four years, a Vietnam Vet. Long time employee of NWA who traveled extensively worldwide. He was a counselor at Camp Kici Yapi during college and became a board member for the YMCA. In high school he ran track, wrestled, and sang in the Male Chorus and he continued to sing as an alum in the RHS Christmas celebrations. He loved slow-pitch softball and was a pitcher. He bowled and was involved in the Commons Club in college.

He loved Ford cars. He attended auto races all over the country and always drove a late-model Ford. He collected stamps, coins, agates, sports memorabilia and friends with those same interests.

Dave was preceded in death by his parents, sister-in-law Lynn Kriebel, his brother-in-law John Julien, and special friend Barb Johnson.

He is survived by one brother, Rick (Peggy) Kriebel, and one sister, Susan Julien; nieces Hannah (Eric) Antonson and Leah Kriebel; nephews Kristian Julien and David (Rachel) Kriebel; great nephews Egon Kriebel and Keifer Antonson; other family and close friends.

Celebration of life service at 10:30 a.m. on October 27th at Crosstown Covenant Church, 5540 30th Ave S, Minneapolis, followed by a light lunch. Interment at Newport Cemetery in Newport, MN, to follow. Online guest book with Bradshaw Funeral Home.
