Wood, David Lowell
Age 55, born July 19th, 1950 ? passed into the embrace of God's everlasting grace December 2nd, 2005. Survived by mother, Mildred Wood of Loveland, Colorado; sister, Linda Wood; sons, Jesse Wood and Daniel Wood of Minneapolis. Preceded in death by father, Harley R. Wood, WWII veteran.
David was blessed with a brilliant intellect, an insatiable curiosity and an unrivaled photographic memory. He was a dedicated prolific graphic artist and illustrator who produced perfect artwork for a huge variety of individual clients and companies, state parks, the DNR and museums. One of his numerous legacies was his work in "The Oregon Trail" and "The Amazon Trail" while employed with MECC. David also had a profound interest in historical research, geography and geology and still made time in his life to volunteer at Gibb's Farm. In public service David served as board member and secretary of District Six Planning Council. He was known as both an avid reader and a traveler among our midwestern states ? an inquisitive investigator of regional lore and life.
