Dixie Wolfe

August 5, 2013 — August 5, 2013

Wolfe, Dixie W., 58, walked home with Christ on August 5, 2013 at 5:55 a.m., after a four-year, well-fought battle with cancer. She was surrounded by her family and the presence of all who loved her. She is survived by her daughters, Kate and Ali Wolfe, whom she loved beyond measure; her sister, Laurie "Susie" Fitzgerald; her brother, Donald Willard; many cousins, nieces, nephews and extended family; and, friends who are as close as family. She is also survived by Ted Wolfe and Lisa Fagan and their daughter, Lucy. Preceded in death by her parents, Laura and Paul Willard, and her brother, Page Willard. For more than 20 years, Dixie was a dietician at UMMC and Children's Hospitals, where she shared her passion, intellect and kindness with patients, families and colleagues. The admiration Dixie had for those she worked with was exceeded only by their love and appreciation of her. She had an inner light, an infectious laugh and an unforgettable smile that will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. A celebration of Dixie's life will be held on Thursday, August 8, 2013 at 11 a.m. at ST. ANDREWS LUTHERAN CHURCH, 900 Stillwater Rd., Mahtomedi. Visitation Wednesday, August 7, 2013 from 4 to 8 P.M. at BRADSHAW CELEBRATION OF LIFE CENTER, 4600 Greenhaven Dr. at Hwy 96 (one mile west of 35E), White Bear.
