Don Schoessler

If you knew Don, you knew love.
At 93 years of age, Don knew a lot of people. Don was a man of God, with a heart of gold.
Born in Reliance South Dakota, Don joined his maker in the Heavenly Kingdom on November 15th, 2017.
He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Olive; children, Claudia (Greg), Don Jr. (Sally), Sandra; brother, Richard (Jean); grandchildren, Aimee (William), David (Liz), Steve (Kara), Betsy (Bob), Andy (Megan), Anna; great grandchildren Ethan, Madison, Braydon, Nora, Aiden, Maggie, Blake, Connor, Tess, Cara; and so many friends and family members from coast to coast.
Don served as an Army Engineer in WWII on the German front, and worked for Eastman Kodak for 40 years as a chemical engineer and liaison with the US Government. He received the Charles Stark Draper Award in 2005 for his role in developing the Corona Eye in the Sky program which helped keep our nation safe during the Cold War. His work is on display in the Smithsonian Air and Space Museums in Washington, DC. He has served his community and his Church in more ways than can be mentioned, and those that love him will hold him dearly in their hearts forever.
Don will surely be missed by everyone that knows him.
