Edna Carlson

Edna N. Carlson, age 84, of Woodbury, formerly of Bayport, passed away August 6, 2006. As per her wishes a private family service will be conducted honoring Edna?s life, followed by interment at Hazelwood Cemetery in Bayport. She was born July 11, 1922 in Saint Paul, MN, to Fredrick and Bertha (Jacoby) Zang. Edna graduated from Mechanic Arts High School in 1940. She was active in Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, American Red Cross, Ladies Aid Society of the Peoples? Congregational Church, and was President of the American Legion Auxiliary Post #491, along with other volunteer activities. Edna was Librarian of the Bayport Public Library from 1962-1981; contributing to the success and growth of the library and its services. Preceded in passing by her parents, Fredrick and Bertha Zang; brothers, Clarence and Lin; sisters, Margaret, Mildred, Lorraine, and Dorothy. Survived by husband of 64 years, Richard ?Dick;? children, Butch (Lyne), Candyce Stout, John, and Polly; grand and great-grandchildren.
