Passed away at home on April 26th, 2014
Edward's military career covered 28 years, the most eventful being his war years. He served in WWII with the 99th Infantry Division from Feb 1944 to May 1946. He re-enlisted in 1949 and went to Korea from 1950-1951, then to Vietnam from 1966-1967. He retired in 1975 as a Sergeant Major E9. Edward received 15 medals during his career including the Combat Infantryman Badge (3 awards), the Bronze Star Medal (Korea June 1951) and the Purple Heart (Korea Oct 1951).
Preceded in death by brother, Robert and sister, Claire. Survived by wife of 55 years, Caroline; daughter, Janet (Anthony Ketcham); son, Billy; dogs, Barney & Elfie; many nieces and nephews. Memorial Service Saturday, May 10th at 2PM at BRADSHAW CELEBRATION OF LIFE CENTER, 2800 Curve Crest Blvd., (NW corner of Hwy 36 and Co Rd 5), Stillwater. Visitation one hour prior. Memorials preferred to Lakeview Hospice or Animal Humane Society.
