Eleanore Quarnstrom Sayre was born to Mary and Raymond Quarnstrom on November 14, 1914, at Ogilvie, Minnesota. She was preceded in death by


both parents, her brother, Donald, her daughter, Carolyn Ray (at birth), grandson, Steve Selander, husbands, Stanley Selander, Carl Ostrom, and


Stan Sayre. She was a graduate of Ogilvie High School in 1932 and spent her life in education. She retired in 1978 from Saint Paul School District 625 after 44 years in the classrooms of Minnesota schools. She is survived by her daughter, Marlys Selander of Inver Grove Heights; her son, Donald (Nancy) Selander of Saint Paul; grandson, Karl (Samantha);


granddaughter, Susan (Bryan) Hoeg; 4 great grandsons, Dustyn, Korben, Kyler, and Mason; great granddaughter, Haley Jo; and a host of other


relatives including nephew, David (Wendy) Quarnstrom and their sons, Sam and Harley of Ogilvie, step children, step grandchildren, step great-grandchildren; and special friends, Linda and Matt Kojetin, Barb


Piper, B.J. Jensen, Glenn and Joyce Taylor, Dennis Taylor, Melva and Don Kellett, and two beloved cats, Kitty and Peanut. Memorials preferred to the Mayo Foundation or the American Cancer Association. Burial will be at the Borgholm Cemetery in Bock, MN.


Visitation is from 5:00 until the 7:30 PM Funeral service on Monday, March 2.
