Dear Mother and Grandmother

She passed away peacefully on August 9, 2010 in St. Paul, Minnesota. Preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Elmer. She is survived by her sister Myrtle Kranz, her children, Stanley (Bonnie), Bruce (Janice), Rolf (Linda), and Elizabeth (John) Miller and eight grandchildren, Todd, Sonja, and Brian Paulson, Martin, Kai, and Margit Miller, and Greg and Simon Shearer. Ethel was born in Forbes, Minnesota on March 31, 1914, to Jest and Marthea Mobroten, the sixth of eight children. She attended Virginia High School and the University of Minnesota, graduating from the latter in 1937 with a degree in Library Science. She worked as a school librarian at North High School in Minneapolis before marrying Elmer on August 3, 1940. Most of all, she adored her husband, her children, and her grandchildren. She will be greatly missed.
