Beloved wife, mother, Nana, and sister died February 28, 2015 at her home surrounded by loving family and friends. She was preceded in death by parents, Joseph and Gerda Holmes; husband, Ronald; sons, Scott, Todd; and brother, Donald Holmes. Survived by son, Mark (Kathy); daughters, Virginia Kressin (Jerry) and Carey LeMay (Lance); niece, Jodi Johnson; precious grandchildren, Aaron Freer (Kate), Amy Savage (Mark), Matthew LeMay (Brianna), and Mallory LeMay (Michael); brother, Clifford Holmes (Ruth); sister, Tynne Karas (Ben); special friend, Bonnie Richart, as well as five beautiful great- grandchildren. Eunice was born and raised in Escanaba, MI and received her RN from the University of Michigan and her BSN from Augsburg College (Cumma Sum Laude at age 50). She married her high school sweetheart, Ron, in Ann Arbor in 1951. They raised their family of five children in Minnesota. In 1988 she was hired to develop and implement the Lakeview Hospital Hospice Program in Stillwater, MN. She regarded her family and the Hospice program as her most holy endeavours. In her retirement, she and John Keller were instrumental in starting the BeFriender's program at St. Andrew's Lutheran Church. She led a very active life at Boutwells Landing including her involvement with the Education and Spiritual Life committees. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred. Funeral services to be held on Saturday, March 7 at 5:00PM at THE SWANSON MEMORIAL CHAPEL AT BOUTWELLS LANDING, 5600 Norwich Parkway, Oak Park Heights with a visitation from 3:00PM to 5:00PM and a gathering following the service.
