Eunice Lueck Peterson - April 15, 1922 to August 22, 2011
Eunice Peterson passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family at the age of 89 on Monday, August 22, 2011 at her home in Boutwells Landing.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Lucy Lueck; brother, Russell (Thelma) Lueck; sister, Florence Lueck Parker (Lloyd); and loving husband, Ronald I. Peterson.
She is survived by her 4 children, Diane Cresswell, Escondido, CA; Gary ( Peggy) Peterson, Cottage Grove, MN; Stephen (Peggy) Peterson, Novato, CA and Deb Peterson, Wheeler, WI.
Grandchildren include Darren and Mike Cresswell, Emily St. Martin, Cameron Peterson and Matthew Sollman; great granddaughters, Karleigh and Megan Cresswell, as well as several cousins and nieces.
Eunice was a lifelong resident of Stillwater and spent many years as Head Cook at Oakland Jr. High before retiring to northern Minnesota with her husband, Rip. She was a member of the Church of Christ Scientist and was well known for her love of children, art, gardening and music.
A special thanks to the staff at Boutwells for their loving and supportive care of Eunice during her extended stay.
A private family service in Withrow will be held on September 1st, with a Celebration of Life Memorial to be held at Boutwell's on September 16 at 1:30 p.m.
