Evelyn Kappes

Evelyn M. Kappes, age 77, passed away on July 12, 2014 as result of a fall. She was primarily a homemaker who also worked as an assembly line worker for 35 years at Honeywell. She was a vibrant person who enjoyed family & friends and will be missed by many. Longtime member of Holy Rosary Altar and Rosary Society and worked the jewelry booth for a number of festivals. She enjoyed a good game of cards, board games & puzzles. She was an avid sports fan and watched many games with her husband. She loved to fish and ice fish for sunnies. She enjoyed 22 years of retirement and 56 years of marriage. She has moved on to a better and less painful world now. Good bye Evelyn, we love you. Preceded by parents, Lee & Edna Powers; sisters, Ruth, Jean, Betty; brothers, Eddy, Murl, Rex, Bobby. Survived by husband, Norbert; children, Mark (Jeanette), Linda, John, Julie (Keith); 12 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; sister, Velma; brothers Jack, Billy. Mass of Christian burial Fri. July 18, 11:00 A.M. at HOLY ROSARY CATHOLIC CHURCH, 2424 18th Ave So., Mpls. Visitation one hour before at church. Private interment at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
