Floyd C. "Swede" Olson, Age 87, October 26, 1920 - July 26, 2008. Floyd was born in Burtrum, MN. After high school, he attended River Falls University -Wisconsin. He served in the Army military police during World War II. He was a co-owner of the Hudson, Wisconsin newspaper, "The Hudson Observer". He also owned a summer resort (Bone Lake Resort) in Milltown, Wisconsin. When he retired he moved to Florida and lived in Apollo Beach, Dundee and Safety Harbor. He was a charter member of the Croix Chordsmen of St. Croix Valley, Minnesota. Barbershop singing, fishing and bowling were his interests. Preceded in death by his wife, Mildred. Survived by his daughter, Ginny Dellinger of Brevard, NC; 1 grand-daughter and 3 great-grandchildren; brother, Keith (Pat) Kisro and sister, Cleo (Terry) Busian. Also survived by his beloved Dee (Dorothy) Dennis and extended family of Sharon and Ron Dornfeld, Brian and Pat Dennis; 4 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren; neighbors, Carolyn & Ed Brown and Andrea Johnson; plus many, many friends. Special thanks to Hospice of Florida (Red Team) and godchildren, Laurie and West Houle. Memorial Service 10 a.m. Wednesday, August 20, 2008 at 10 a.m. at the Bradshaw Celebration of Life Center, 2800 Curve Crest Boulevard (N.W. Corner of Co. Rd 5 and Hwy 36) Stillwater with the Reverend Julie Rogness, of Christ Lutheran Church of Lake Elmo, officiating. Special music by the Croix Chordsmen of St. Croix Valley, Minnesota. Interment, Fort Snelling National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate memorials made to Hospice of Florida Suncoast (Red Team), 5771 Roosevelt Blvd., Clearwater, FL 33760 or Croix Chordsmen of St. Croix Valley.
