Daughter of Richard and Matilda Amey (deceased). Preceded in death by husband of 55 years, Robert Paul Gehrman; sister, Betty Patrin, and brother, Bobby, Survived by children, Jan (Jim) Carey, Bob (Beth), Bill (Sue), John (Chris), Mark, Lettie (Kevin) Barrett, and Kate (Rae); 14 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; siblings, Jeanette Olson, Richard (Kozua) Amey, Donald Amey, Dorothy Aubin, John (Marlene)Amey, Edward (Glade) Amey, Gerry (Gary) Walker, and Kathy (Porky) Wohlberg. Fran was one of 11 children and proud of her humble upbringing during the Depression. She was a graduate of Washington High School, Class of 1944. Lifelong and devoted resident of St. Paul. She worked as a legal secretary and executive secretary and was most proud of her 20 plus years at St. Paul Ramsey, Department of Ophthalmology. She was a lover of poetry and music, an avid reader, card player, and especially passionate about her Catholic faith and her family. Above all, Fran was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who will be dearly missed. Mass of Christian Burial Thursday, 11:00 A.M. at CHURCH OF SAINT PATRICK, 1095 Desoto Street. Interment Fort Snelling National Cemetery. Visitation Wednesday, 4-8 P.M. (prayer service at 7:45 P.M.) at BRADSHAW, 4600 Greenhaven Drive at Highway 96 (one mile west of 35E), White Bear, as well as one hour prior to the Mass at the church.
