Gary Owens

Owens, Gary L, age 58, passed away surrounded by family on February 23,
2014. He was a devoted husband, loving father and the most amazing Papa as well as a wonderful son, brother and uncle. He was a man who knew how to be a friend and was rewarded with treasured friends throughout his life.

Gary is survived by his wife, Alice; children, Lynnette (Travis) Winter,
Naomi (Dan) Quaile, Marty Owens, Angela Owens & David Crow, Emily Nevius &Julian Nevils; grandchildren, Cammille Schopper & Brady Dilks, Gabriel Winter, Graelynn Winter and Adrian Nevils; great grandson, Abel Dilks; mother, Rosemary Owens; sisters, Pat (Jim) Lingner, Cheryl (Jeff) Carlock, Sandy Masterson; brother, Jerry (Stacey) Owens; loving nieces, nephews, cousins and countless friends. The family expresses heartfelt gratitude for the tender care received from the doctors and staff at the University of MN Medical Center.

Service Saturday, March 1, at 11 AM at BRADSHAW (McDivitt-Hauge), 3131 Minnehaha Ave. S. Visitation one hour prior to service.

Memorials to Children's Cancer Research Fund because Gary said that as hard as this was for him, it's unthinkable for a child to suffer stupid cancer.
