Left this world on September 11, 2007 after making it a better place. Preceded in death by infant son, Tommy and loving wife of 56 years, Betty. Survived by son, George Jr. (fiancAC.e Elyse Kaner); daughter, Pattie Strub, (Pete) and their children, Michele Thompson (Jason), Joe Strub (Katy) and Danny; son Joe (Laurie) and their children, Keisha, Dylan and Korby; great grandchildren Wesley Strub and Ellie Thompson. Gathering of family and friends Thursday 5-8 PM/ Music & Memories from 7-8 PM at BRADSHAW, 4600 Greenhaven Drive at Hwy 96 (one mile west of 35E). Interment at Fort Snelling leaving Friday 11 AM from Bradshaw. Sincere thanks for the kindness of Woodbury Villa (Kathy Ryan & staff) and the astounding, angelic compassion of the V.A. Medical Center pre hospice and hospice staff of 3K and 1F ? and all the wonderful care at the VA through the years. Dad ? You never let one day pass without telling your family you loved them. Over the years, you?ve been a role model for any book on boundless acts of random kindness. Your endless bad jokes, atrocious word-rhyming and spontaneous little dances only served to endear all who had the privilege of knowing your thoughtful, generous soul. Pa ? As the stars welcome you, know that all you?ve selflessly given is now lovingly written across our hearts in warm, indelible letters. Give mom a kiss on the cheek for us. Memorials to choice of charity in lieu of flowers.
