AGE 61 Of White Bear Lake, MN, passed away suddenly of
an abdominal aortic aneurysm on June 3, 2007.
He is survived by his mother, Delores Isaacson; his aunt Dorothy Schmeets; brother, Paul (Mary) Miller; loving wife Victoria Bernice Buoen, his thirteen children: George (Sarah) Ernest Miller, Jr., Aaron (Kristen) Miller, Merida (John) Miller Surucu, Laura (Jeff) Peters, John Miller, Andrew Miller, Christiania Miller, Joseph Miller, Erica Miller, Alexandra Miller, James Miller, Vanessa Miller, and Thomas Miller; his twelve grandchildren: Ana, Ethan, and Matthew Miller, Teman, Idella, and Josephine Miller, Isabella, William, and Adelaide Surucu, Samuel Peters, Avery Miller, and Riley Miller.
George was born September 29th, 1945 in Minneapolis, MN. He went to High School at Concordia Academy in St. Paul. He attended Concordia College in St. Paul and graduated for the University of Minnesota. He then attended the University of Minnesota Medical School and graduated in 1970. He did an Ophthalmology residency at Hennepin County Medical Center and practiced in Virgina, MN before going on to do a Vitreal-Retinal Fellowship at Wills Eye Hospital in Philadelphia, PA. He started his solo practice in Minneapolis and St. Paul and has been a dedicated member of medical community since then. He specialized in retinopathy of prematurity and spent countless hours at Mpls and St. Paul Children?s Hospitals helping premature infants. He was dedicated to his patients and spent his career continuing to learn and serve the medical community.
An avid student in various subjects in life, he read countless books on every topic imaginable. He loved literature and the arts. He never stopped learning new things and felt knowledge would empower people to achieve their highest goals. He taught those around him, especially his children, the importance of education. He unfailingly supported his children in their every endeavor, education or otherwise. A spiritual man, he shared his strong faith in God with his family. His strong character was also defined by his love of humor and laughter. George was seldom seen without a camera in his hands, capturing shots of those he loved. He held many other interests and loved countless outdoor activities. He was an avid fly-fisherman and loved to catch trout with his children from Montana rivers. He taught his children to ski and took many vacations with them in Colorado. He loved to be up North in the boundary waters singing family songs around the campfire. He became a devoted softball and baseball coach and instilled in the players a love of both playing the game and always doing their best.
He will be missed not only for all he did for his community but for the wonderful Son, Husband, Father, and Grandfather he was. He gave his family the best he had including the means to discover what was best inside them. The fondest memories are of him just being a Dad, in a Santa suit, singing Christmas Carols, or playing football or baseball in the backyard. Above all, he supported his family and gave them every opportunity to develop and explore their passions. George and his wife, Vicky shared many interests, including medicine and their love of family, and complemented each other perfectly. He called his wife the love of his life and he was never happier than when he was surrounded by his family.

Visitation Thursday, 4-8pm at BRADSHAW, 4600 Greenhaven Drive at Hwy 96 (one mile West of Hwy 35E) and one hour prior to the service at the church.
