Died peacefully Monday October 10, 2011. He will be greatly missed by Mary, his wife of 52 years; his children, Christine (Mike) Schoenecker, Tony, Paul (Valerie), Patrick (Alejandra Magana); grandchildren, Ryan, Leigh and Kyle Schoenecker, Lucas and Nathan Sterzinger, Mary Cruz Magana and Will Sterzinger; also by Mary's sisters and brothers and their spouses, whom he thought of as his own. George first of all loved and cared for his family. He taught his children self-reliance and what it means to be a good husband, a good father and a good man. We have memories of cross-country camping trips, his outdoor spirit and his love of old cars. Mass of Christian Burial Saturday 10am, October 15, at CHURCH OF ST. GENEVIEVE, 7087 Goiffon Road, Centerville. Visitation Friday 5-8pm with a Rosary service 7pm at BRADSHAW, 4600 Greenhaven Dr @ Hwy 96 (one mile west of 35E) and one hour prior to Mass at the church. Interment Union Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to Second Harvest Heartland Food Bank.
