Gertrude Korbitz

Korbitz, Gertrude E. Age 89, Recently: Colfax WI, Past: Omaha, NE and St. Paul, MN. Passed away on September 23, 2009. She was born April 25,1920 to Ingeborg and Olaf Almstrom in Council Bluffs, IA. Most of her life was lived in Omaha, NE area. In 1997 she moved to Minnesota and in 2007 to Wisconsin. She worked for Woodman of the World Life Insur. For 30 yrs before retiring. Her last church affiliation was with Lutheran Church of the Master in Omaha. She is preceded in death by husbands, Chester Lundquist and Frederick Korbitz; son, Carl O. Lundquist; and dtr-in-law, Diane Lundquist. Survived by children, Ingrid (Charles) Griffin of Clinton, MO and Deborah (William) Korbitz of Phoenix, AZ; grandchildren, Stanly Griffin, Denise (Gary) McDougal, Darin (Jennifer) Lundquist, Rachel (Wayne Flores) Bjerstedt, Melinda (Abdoulye) Thiam, Adam (Mariela) Bjerstedt; great-grandchildren, Amanda Griffin, Jeffery Griffin, Melissa Lundquist, and Farah Thiam.
