Grace Merrill

Grace C. Merrill, Nee Glynn, age 88, born on Nicollet Island, died Saturday, surrounded by loving family. Preceded in death by husband, John; brothers, Arlye, Leo, Joe and Robert; sister, Florence. Survived by sons, Jack (Sharon Thronson), Jim and Bill (Kathleen); grandchildren, Kristin (Todd) Mortenson, Sarah (Curtis) Merrill, Joe (Joan), Anne (Sean) Merrill and Tim (Colleen); great-grandchildren, Erin, Nicole and Cormac; sisters, Margaret, Eileen, Marion and Patricia, all of CA; many nieces, nephews and friends. Also survived by brother Leo's widow, Marge and their wonderful family; and by her former daughter-in-law, Julie. Grace was a professional dress maker by trade, an active member of St. Elizabeth's Catholic Church, where she made all the girls school uniforms. Mass of Christian Burial, Wednesday 10 a.m. at the CHURCH OF ST. HELENA, 3201 East 43rd St. Interment, Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation, Tuesday 5-8 p.m. at BRADSHAW (McDivitt-Hauge) 3131 Minnehaha Ave. and 1 hour prior to mass at the church. Memorials preferred. Thank you to Hospice of the Twin Cities who made Grace's journey peaceful and comfortable.
