James Beers

Age 90 of Lake Elmo, MN Beloved Husband and Father Passed away peacefully on August 22, 2009. Preceded in death by brother, Byron. Survived by loving wife of 63 years, Edna; children, Tom and Mary Anne (Kent Walker); cousin, Belva Stevenson. Proud Veteran, Jim was a lifelong resident of Lake Elmo and a true good neighbor. A rural mail carrier for over 20 years, Jim served as a charter member of the Lake Elmo Volunteer Fire department and Lions Club. He also taught firearm safety for more than 40 years. In addition, Jim served as a lifetime member of Christ Lutheran Church, Lake Elmo. Jim's kindness and service to his community will be long remembered and deeply missed. A Memorial Service will be held 11 AM on Saturday, August 29, 2009 with a Reception to follow at CHRIST LUTHERAN CHURCH 11194 36th Street North, Lake Elmo.
