Passed away unexpectedly at the age of 54. Jimmy was preceded in death by his mother, Georgette Bigelow and daughter, Kellie Jo Melquist. He is survived by his father, James Bigelow Sr.; sisters, Connie (Jim) McCoy, Colleen (Brad) Johnson, Carol (Cal) Ahlquist and brother, Bill Bigelow. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, one uncle and many friends. Jimmy loved animals, fishing, working with wood and leather, and cooking. He was part of the food industry for many years. Jimmy had a unique sense of humor and a constant smile on his face that will be remembered and missed by all. Jimmy's family wishes to thank his kind landlord, Joe, and his friendly and caring neighbors. Jimmy was a grateful liver transplant recipient. Sincere thanks to his doctors, nurses and the U of M Transplant Team. A Gathering will be held at Bradshaw Funeral Home on Monday, August 29th from 5-8PM with Service at 7PM. Interment will be held Tuesday, August 30th at 10AM at Resurrection Cemetery, Mendota Heights. Memorials preferred to: U OF M Medical Center-Fairview, Transplant Center - Clinic 2A, 516 Delaware St. S.E., Mpls., MN 55455
