Age 86, of South Minneapolis. Born September 16, 1919 in North Dakota and passed away July 4, 2006. Survived by loving friend, Joan Stefansky; sisters, Sophia Taykalo, Cecelia Horton, Jennie (Glenn) Aamodt; many nieces, nephews and friends. Retired from the Corp. of Engineers. WWII Marine Veteran, served in the South Pacific. Member of the Fridley VFW and Richfield Legion. Mass of Christian Burial Monday, July 10, 10 AM at CHURCH OF SAINT ALBERT THE GREAT, E. 29th St. & 32nd Ave. S., Minneapolis. Visitation one hour prior to the service at church. Interment Fort Snelling National Cemetery. A special thanks to the "angels" at the Veterans Hospital who made John's Wednesdays & Fridays so special. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to charity of your choice.
