Passed away suddenly in Punta Gorda, Florida on February 19, 2017. Ken will be dearly missed by those who survive him: his wife of 60 years, Eloise; children, Marc (Paul Alme) Swanson, Michele Swanson; granddaughter, Micaela Rodriguez; brothers, David (Katie) and Glenn (Nancy); sister-in-law, Lucille Swanson; many nieces & nephews & friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Herbert & Gertrude; brother, John. Ken was a Corporal in the US Army, and a proud veteran of the Korean War, serving with the SCARWAF. He was always looking for ways to connect with others, whether as a member of the Masons, the VFW, the American Legion, and even as an organizer and planner for all of his school reunions. Kenneth graduated Harding High in 1949, enjoyed summers at Agate Lake, spent a career as a union representative and mailer at the Pioneer Press, and had been wintering in Florida for the past 25 years. A funeral service will be at 11AM Saturday at BRADSHAW, 1078 Rice St, with visitation one hour prior. Interment to follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Afton.
