Born 8/25/1942 to Marion and Ruby Sandvig in Ogden, Iowa and moved with family to Mpls at a young age. Graduated from Roosevelt High School in 1961. Retired from Lake Region Manufacturing in 1995. Passed away 10/28/2009. Preceded in death by parents and sister-in-law, DayAnn Sandvig. Survived by wife, Jo Ann Berkland; daughters, Carol Torfin (Brett), Cathy Johnson and Chris Sandvig and their mother, Diane Sandvig; 7 grandchildren; brother, Gerald Sandvig; a niece; 6 nephews; 2 cousins. Service Saturday 11:30 AM, with visitation beginning at 10:30 AM at MOUNT OLIVET LUTHERAN CHURCH, 5025 Knox Ave. S., Minneapolis. Graveside Service Sunday, 2 PM at Lake Campbell Lutheran Church Cemetery, rural Volga, SD. Memorials preferred.
