Age 68 years, of Baytown Twp., MN died after a lengthy illness on April 29, 2005. Proceeded by parents: Anton ?Tony? and Helen M. Pierson and brothers, Donald and Roger all of St. James, MN, and sister, Charlotte Heckman of No. Mankato. Survived by brothers, Leonard (Viola) of No. Mankato, MN, Wayne (Connie) of St. James, MN and sister, Evelyn ?Evie? Pierson of Mankato; sister-in-law, Joyce Pierson of St. James, MN., numerous nieces and nephews, and grand nieces and grand nephews, and long time friend and caregiver, John Gillen.



Larry was a graduate of University of Minnesota Mankato with post graduate study at University of Wyoming. He was a teacher in the Cannon Falls School District, distributor for a veterinary health products company, and also worked with NSP/XCEL for corporate security. Larry was an avid skier and walker of the Dalmatian dog in Baytown for many years. He enjoyed traveling the world, browsing the library, and reminiscing about his family and farming upbringing.



Special thanks to the medical care received in recent years of illness at Lakeview, Regions, and Regina Hospitals under the care of Frank Flemming, MD and Judy Wolf, RN as well as Donald Wessel, MD and Charles Ormiston, MD and the loving care given by the staff on 2 North at Volunteers of America Maplewood Care Center, and the care team from Hospice of the Lakes. The friendship and support provided by Wilder Adult Day Health, Karen Moy and the Stillwater Family Means Organization, as well as David and Mary Schiltgen, Donald Quaintance, George Hernandez, Rich Evans, and many other friends was deeply appreciated.



Mass of Christian Burial 11:00 AM Friday at ST. CHARLES CATHOLIC CHURCH, 409 North Third Street (Hwy 95), Bayport, MN. Interment St. Michael?s Cemetery. A gathering of family and friends will be one hour before mass at the church. Memorials are preferred to St. Charles Catholic Church, University of St. Thomas for a Scholarship Fund, or donor?s choice.
