Lee Barton

Barton, Lee Cameron Age 79 Of Roseville Died peacefully on July 31, 2009, after a long battle with ALS. Preceded in death by beloved wife Marguerite and sister, Shirley (Guckenberg). Survived by sons Mark (Elizabeth), Scott, James (Kyle) and daughter Sandra (William) Brisley; grandchildren Cassandra (Peter), Mary, Laura, Michael, Anna, Alvin, Matthew, Jackson, another grandson due in December and sister, Audrey (Ron) Gaslin. Lee was born June 3, 1930, and grew up in St. Paul, MN. He loved sports and excelled at basketball. Lee attended the U of M and later joined the U.S. Navy Air Force Reserve. He graduated from the Harvard Advanced Mgmt. Program. Lee was a successful businessman and held the position of VP at Buckbee Mears Corp. in St. Paul where he worked for 23 years. He held similar positions at Spearhead Industries in Mpls and Koltron Corp. in CA. Lee also served as President of Catalina Controls in CO. Prior to the onset of ALS, Lee was an avid golfer. He coached many youth sports activities and enjoyed providing memorable vacation experiences for his family. He was involved in numerous church activities and taught Sunday School for many years. Lee was a generous man who loved his family and devoted his life to serving Christ. He had a great sense of humor and will be missed greatly by his children and grandchildren. Funeral service Tuesday, August 11, 12:00 PM at Eagle Brook Church, Spring Lake Park campus, 8498 Sunset Road, Spring Lake Park, with visitation one hour prior at 11:00 AM.
