Wells, Leo D.



Born July 18, 1917 passed away June 23, 2006 surrounded by his family.

Preceded in death by wife Alice H. and son James Leo. Survived by son David

J. (Terri) Elizabethtown, KY, daughters Joyce L., St. Paul, and Mary (Bill)

Krouse, Lake Elmo; grandchildren James F. (Kristen) Wells, Menlo Park, CA,

Traci L. (Nick) Bosse, Lawton, OK, James B. and Carrie M. Krouse, Lake Elmo;

great grandchildren Harrison Wells and Sierra Bosse.

Played professional baseball with the St. Paul Saints 1939-1941, Chicago

White Sox 1942 and 1946, served in the U.S. Coast Guard during WWII, retired

after 60 from the life insurance business with Equitable and New England

Life. Served on boards of the Kiwanis Club, St. Paul Athletic Club,

Children's Home Society, Heart and Lung Association, St. Paul Automobile

Club, 60 year member of House of Hope church where he served on numerous

elective boards.

Memorial service/Celebration of Life will be July 12th, 11:00 A.M. at

Boutwells Landing, 5600 Norwich Pkwy, Oak Park Heights. Memorials preferred

to Children's Home Society of St. Paul, St. Paul Heart and Lung Assoc. or

donors choice.
