Leona Eva Ida Heinck Gordon, age 98, passed away on February 22, 2012 in Red Wing, Minnesota. Leona was born in Long Prairie, Minnesota, September 1, 1913. She married Chester P. Gordon on August 4, 1951.
Leona was a longtime St. Paul resident, having moved to Deer Crest, Red Wing, Minnesota 2-1/2 years ago. Leona worked for Swift and Co. in South St. Paul, and at Gillette Corp in St. Paul. She is preceded in death by sisters, Lydia, Ella, Edna, Clara, Selma, Gertrude and Esther. She is survived by loving husband, Chester; nieces, nephews and many friends.
A memorial service will be held this Saturday, February 25 at 3 PM at Pilgrim Lutheran Church, 1935 St. Clair Ave, St. Paul. Memorials are preferred to Pilgrim Lutheran Church and Deer Crest, Red Wing.
