Len and Kathy Witschen were married sixty-two years and resided in east Saint Paul for much of their lives prior to moving to Vadnais Heights. Len was a WWII veteran who was awarded the Bronze Star and Purple Heart.
Leonard was preceded in death by great-grandchild Joseph Wright and will be deeply missed by his wife, Kathy; brother Bernard (Rosemary), sister Viola Shackelford, and sister-in-law; children Lance (Barb) and Linda Persell; grandchildren Eric Thorson (Dawn), Lisa Funk (Joe), Kris, Jeff (Katie), Kari, Joe and great grandchild Zachary Wright. As well as Gertie along with many other family and friends.
Mass of Christian Burial Thursday 10:30AM with visitation starting at 9:30AM at CHURCH OF ST. CASIMIR, 934 East Geranium. Interment at Fort Snelling National Cemetery following lunch at 1:30pm. Memorials preferred in lieu of flowers.
