Passed away peacefully from ALS on 11/09/06 with family. Survived by wife of 46 years, Adele (Bonsness), children, Kevin (Georgia, Brandon, Garrett) of North Hudson, Steven (Cynda, Caitlyn, Kasen) of Casper, WY, Charlene (Christian, Gabriel) Selleck of River Falls, Sisters, Dolores (Ervin) Jeska of Andover, Maybelle Hall of New Richmond, Brothers, Ed (January) of Oronoco, MN, Ron (Karen) of Laguna Vista, TX and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Preceded in death by his son, Jeffrey, Mother and Father (Ed and Lucille Urhammer). Leroy was born 9/06/40 in Traer, Iowa. He graduated from Turtle Lake High School. He worked at Northern Pacific RR and continued with Burlington Northern RR for 35 years in the Information Systems Department. He was a driver for VanPool Services for 16 years. He was active in his community: Cubmaster and Scout Master for Troop 144 in Somerset, served 7 years on the Somerset School Board of Education, served 4 years on CESA 11 Board of Control, Donated 88 pints of whole blood to the American Red Cross. Member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Stillwater and served on many committees, worked with Habitat for Humanity in Mississippi and Jamaica, enjoyed playing with the guitar group. Leroy was a dedicated man to his family and enjoyed traveling, hobby farming, fishing and hunting. Visitation Monday, November 13 from 3 ? 8 p.m. at BRADSHAW, 2800 Curve Crest Boulevard, Stillwater, MN and one hour prior to service at the church. His life will be celebrated on Tuesday, November 14 @ 10 a.m. at ST. PAUL LUTHERAN CHURCH, 609 S. 5th St., Stillwater, MN. Memorials are preferred to St. Paul Lutheran Church, and the ALS Foundation.
