Age 97. Lillian was a quiet and determined Christian woman who devoted her life to raising her 5 children, the love of reading, volunteering at the St. Paul Public Library and her Swedish traditions. However, her true pride and joy was her family. She was a lifelong member of Gustavus Adolphus Lutheran Church of St. Paul and retired from the State of Minnesota Department of Motor Vehicles in 1976. Preceded in death by parents, Constant and Clara Anderson; son, Gerald (Jerry); daughter-in-law, Gail; granddaughter, Melanie Ortloff; and siblings, Joseph, Clarence, Pearl Charpentier, and Roy Anderson. Loving mother of Janet (Bob) LeRoux, JoAnne (Don) Meyer, John (Rebecca) Bingen, Joyce (Bob) Ortloff; also survived by 12 beautiful grandchildren, Mark LeRoux, Robin LeRoux, Laura (John) Kvistad, Nan Trainor, Jay (Donna) Bingen, Jeff (Michelle) Bingen, Lynn (Steve) Kroiss, Julie (Chris) Robinson, Kari (Sean) Tytler, Megan Bingen, Peter Bingen and Darren Ortloff; 11 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. Service Friday, 11:00 A.M. at GUSTAVUS ADOLPHUS LUTHERAN CHURCH, 1669 Arcade Street, St Paul. Private interment Union Cemetery. Visitation one hour prior to the service at church. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.
