Lorraine Krob

Krob, Lorraine Ida (nee Brady)
Of Hopkins, formerly of Cass Lake and Austin, MN, died September 21, 2015 at the age of 88. Lorraine was born to Frank and Hulda (Scheel) Brady on February 23, 1927 at the family homestead near Alexandria, MN. Lorraine was baptized into the Lutheran faith (Missouri Synod) as an infant. The family later moved to Austin, MN where she was confirmed at St. John's Lutheran Church.

On April 28, 1945 she married Frank Krob. They farmed in several locales in MN, later settling in the Cass Lake area. Lorraine was also employed at Bemidji State University where she was a food service worker. She retired in 1992. In her retirement, she enjoyed embroidering, cooking, baking and trying new recipes. She also enjoyed family gatherings.

In her later years, she resided in Hopkins, MN and was a devoted member of Zion Lutheran Church where she enjoyed quilting and participating with the Caring Friends group.

Lorraine is survived by her children, Gerald (Gloria) Krob and Jean (Paul) Vette; brother, Rolland (Maxine) Brady; sister, Bonnie Brady; 8 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren and special family members, Miguel and Mary Sud. Lorraine was preceded in death by parents, husband, daughter, Deanna Pellon; grandson, Frank Sud; granddaughter, Michelle (Sud) Roed and sister, Shirley (Brady) Guckeen.

Memorial service Saturday, October 10, 2015, 11:00 A.M. at BRADSHAW CELEBRATION OF LIFE CENTER, 4600 Greenhaven Drive at Highway 96 (one mile west of 35 E), White Bear. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Private interment London Cemetery, London, MN. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.
