Maedelle Peterson

Services for MaeDelle Peterson, age 90, of Rural Stillwater will be Friday, 11:00 A.M. at BETHANY EVANGELICAL COVENANT CHURCH, 6490 Stillwater Boulevard North, Stillwater. Interment Withrow Cemetery. Visitation Thursday, 5:00-8:00 P.M. at BRADSHAW CELEBRATION OF LIFE CENTER, 2800 Curve Crest Boulevard, and also one hour prior to the service at church.

Born on September 17, 1917 to Charles & Mabel Jacobson in Shafer, MN. She married Alvin Peterson on September 11, 1937. Together they raised eight children, all of whom survive. Preceded in death by husband, Alvin; and son-in-law, William Olson. She is survived by sister, Donna Olson of Little Canada; children, Dellaina Olson of Clear Lake, WI, Bervin (Mary) of Northbrook, IL, Calvin (Sarmita) of Stillwater, Sonja (Dennis) Yon of Stillwater, Blaine (Glenna) of North St. Paul, Mary (Stuart) Opel of Grant, Martha (Dean) Fisher of Lindstrom, and Alvin, Jr. ?Shortee? (Pamela) of Baldwin; 32 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.

She was an excellent seamstress, calligrapher, poet, scrabble player and friend. She taught her children the love of music. She was a lifelong teacher and student of God?s word, but perhaps her greatest joy was that of praying for all her children. Her desire was that we all would know the joy of salvation in Jesus Christ. She will be quietly missed by us on earth, but we know there is even greater joy in heaven.

Memorials are preferred to Wycliffe Bible Translators.
