Age 85 of Burnsville, formerly of Mpls. Margaret was born in Sergeant Bluff, Iowa, August 13, 1921 to Lyman & Mathilda Shafenberg. She died peacefully on August 8, 2007, at Ebenezer Ridges Care Center in Burnsville. She was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Robert; her son, Michael; her grandson, Paul Stapleton; her parents; and two brothers. She is survived by her children, Barbara Joan (Martin) Stapleton of Burnsville, Dennis (Laura) of Minneapolis, Keith (Cindy) of Eagan, Robert (Mary) of Dresser, WI and Jon (Tammy) of Maple Grove. She also will be missed by 16 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, brother-in-law; and many nieces and nephews. After her marriage to Bob in 1945, Peg filled her life with her family, and volunteered in her children's activities and schools, as well as the DFL party and Church of St. Helena. She was very proud of her rose garden. Special thanks to the staff at Ebenezer Ridges for your compassionate care this past year. Mass of Christian Burial on Monday, August 13 at 11 am at CHURCH OF SAINT HELENA, 3204 E 43rd St., Mpls., followed by lunch. Interment at St. Mary's Cemetery in St. Mary's Township. Family should meet at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Waseca, MN at 2:30 pm to proceed to the cemetery. Visitation Sunday, 2-5 pm at BRADSHAW (McDivitt-Hauge), 3131 Minnehaha Ave. S., Mpls, and one hour prior to Mass at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred.
