Passed away on April 5, 2008. Survived by Lois Hansen, best friend; Leslie Ann (Cici) Wippermann Freeburg, niece, of Barrington, IL; extended family and many friends. Preceded in death by Dr. Frederic Wippermann, M.D., brother; F. Allan and F. Brian Wippermann, nephews.
Retired from the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities after 37 years. Was secretary to University President James L. Morrill, to Vice Presidents Stanley Wenberg and Stanley Kegler.
Graduate of Marshall U High; attended the U of M; Member of U of M Retirees Assn. In 1960, worked a year in Seoul, Korea as part of a special project between U of M and the University of Seoul, Korea. Charter member of the Elder Learning Institute/Osher Lifelong Learning Institute. In later years Peg was active in the Vision Loss Resource organization in Minneapolis.
Memorial Service Wednesday, April 9, 2 PM at GLORIA DEI LUTHERAN CHURCH, 700 Snelling Avenue South, St. Paul. Interment Resurrection Cemetery, Mendota Heights. Memorials welcome to Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) Scholarship Fund and Vision Loss Resources, Minneapolis.
