WWII Navy Eteran Age 95
Long-time St.Paul resident, died March 3, 2011. Born June 18, 1915 on a farm near Fairchild, WI, the youngest and last surviving of 11 children of John and Anna (Werel) Voves. Left home whitle still in her teens and found work in St. Paul as a housekeeper and later at 3M. In 1944 enlisted with the WAVES, A WWII ERA division of the US Navy consisting entirely of women. After her discharge in 1946, worked for the WT Grant Co in St. Paul until 1975. Marie never married and had no children, but is survived by many loving nieces, nephews and dear friends.
