Died October 22 surrounded by family after a courageous 6-year battle with cancer. We all thought she won but the Lord had other plans to reunite her with her son. Her pain went away but ours never will. Preceded by parents, Vern and Audrey; son, Johnny Jr.; sisters, Sally and Patty and sister-in-law, Charlotte. Survived by her husband of 39 years, John Sr.; daughter, Christine (Santino) Franco; grandchildren, Marissa, JohnCarlo, Amelia and Bonita Rose Franco; brothers and sisters, Linda (Bill) Lunzer, Sandy (Phillip) Hogan, Geri (Mike) Keely, Buddy Nietz, Timothy Nietz, Amy (Gus) Anderson, Bill (Lana) Nietz and Alice (Sam) Pappelo; many nieces, nephews and friends. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to the Paul and Sheila Wellstone Youth Center, 179 Robie St. E., St. Paul, 55107. Mass of Christian Burial Monday, 11:30 AM, at the CHURCH OF ST. MATTHEW, at the corner of Hall and Robie, St. Paul. A gathering of friends and family will be from 10:30 AM until the time of Mass at church. Burial is at Riverview Cemetery.
