Was peacefully embraced by Jesus on September 18, 2011 after a 9 month journey with cancer. Dedicated Eastsider, graduate of Harding High School in 1962. Beloved wife of Robert H. Niebuhr of 41 years. Active member and volunteer as Sunday School Superintendant at Holy Cross Lutheran Church. She was a homemaker who volunteered with school activities, and was a devoted family historian. Survived by husband, Robert; children, Zachary (Amber), Jessica; twin granddaughters, Sydni & Sophie; sisters, Barbara (Bruce) Gehrls, Ruth Duncan; brother, Charles Raths (Sondra); many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by parents, Elmer and Elaine Raths; nephew, Jonathan "J.T." Gehrls; brother-in-law, Robert Duncan. Celebration of Life service Thursday, September 22, 2011 at 6pm at HOLY CROSS LUTHERAN CHURCH 6355 N. 10th St., Oakdale. Family to receive friends at the Church two hours prior to the service.
