Born on the family farm, May 2, 1942-Jordan MN. Died at home, July 22, 2010 in Saint Paul MN. Preceded in death by brother, Francis, 1989. Survived by loving family: husband, John; children: Michelle [Jonathan Marchant], Sara Smit [Greg], Chuck [Jaime Bosch]; grandchildren: Clare Marigean, Brianna Jolee, Owen Benjamen, Eliana Joy, and Gabriel James; siblings: Al, George [Kathy], Jim [Cathy], Judy Pint [Earl], Mike [Sheila], Paul [Donna], Sam [Sandy]; in-laws: Nancy Burke [Jim], Marie [Dan Altemus], Marty [Janis Childs], Dan, Joe, Betsy [Shannon Gray]; many nieces and nephews, and grand-nieces and nephews. Throughout her life Mary was passionate about teaching. She taught primary grades; led a Montessori classroom; was an instructor in the Montessori method for new teachers; authored Christian education books [pre-school through grade 6]; taught 1st grade at St Pascal's grade school [1985-2004] and was a reading tutor at the East Side Learning Center [2001-2010]. Mass of Christian Burial: 11:00AM Tuesday, July 27, Church of Saint Matthew [Hall Ave and Robie St, St Paul]. Visitation 4:30-8:30PM Monday, July 26 at the church; also beginning at 9:30AM on Tuesday. Interment: Guardian Angels Cemetery, Oakdale. Memorials to East Side Learning Center [SSND]; Church of Saint Matthew; Saint Pascal Baylon School, or choice of the donor.
