Marylou Maertens

Maertens, MaryLou of Minneapolis, passed away peacefully, Thursday, November 8th 2018, while doing something she loved, feeding the birds. She is survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Charles and Rosemary Ekelund; her children, Debra Maertens, Richard Maertens, Dean Maertens and Thomas Maertens; along with five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She loved to garden and received many Garden of the Year awards from the city of Minneapolis. She was also an accomplished seamstress who won many Minnesota State Fair blue ribbons for her doll clothes. She was loved very much and will be missed by her family and many friends. Memorial service Saturday, November 17, 3:00 PM at MINNEHAHA COMMUNION LUTHERAN CHURCH, 4101 37th Avenue South, Mpls.
