?Maurie?, age 94, of Stillwater, left for his Heavenly Home on July 29, 2007. Preceded in death by sisters, Mildred and Serie; and great-granddaughter, Ariel Perez. Survived by wife, Muriel; sons, Truett (Jill) of Stillwater, Bruce (Merle) of El Paso, TX, Robert (Lisa) of Escondido, CA; grandchildren, Wendy Ulferts, Lisa, Christopher, Jonathan, Timothy and Melinda Lawson; great-grandchildren, Caleb, McKenna, McKayla, Jonah, and Ariana. He was the Founding Pastor of Olivet Baptist Church, Crystal; Senior Pastor of Bethany Baptist Church in Whittier, CA; and Professor of English, Campus Pastor and Trustee of Bethel University. Memorial service Friday, 11:00 A.M. at CENTRAL BAPTIST CHURCH, 420 Roy Street North, St. Paul. Private interment Union Cemetery, Trade Lake, WI. Visitation Thursday, 5:00-7:00 P.M. at BRADSHAW, 2800 Curve Crest Boulevard (NW Corner of Hwy 36 & Co Rd 5). Memorials are preferred to the Lawson Preaching Series at Bethel University.
