Age 59, passed away at his home in Owatonna, MN on February 20, 2007 after a short battle with cancer. Mel enjoyed his work and was dedicated to his career in the trucking industry. He had a sense of humor that everyone enjoyed. Mel was an avid sports fan and he was especially fond of the Minnesota Twins. Preceded in death by father, Mel, Sr.; and sister, Barbara Lee. Mel will be deeply missed by his children, Spencer and Meredith; mother, Esther; siblings, Judy Peery, Merriell (Jerry) Frantsen, Jon (Marsha), and Bill (Sue); as well as other family and friends. Service Saturday, 1:30pm at GRACELIFE CHURCH OF ANOKA, 822 West Main Street, Anoka. Interment Forest Hill Cemetery. Visitation from 12:00 Noon until time of service at the church.
