May 4, 1941 - April 24, 2009 went home to be with her Lord. She died peacefully at her St. Paul, MN home with her husband Daniel at her side. Rosie fought a remarkable 8-year battle with cancer. Her life was a testimony to her profound faith and love for her family. She was born in Rush City, MN. Her family relocated to Isle, MN where she graduated from Isle High School in 1959 and was crowned Miss Isle. In 1960, her friend Judy (Lang) Johnson introduced her to Daniel Bostrom. They were married later that year and have been inseparable ever since. Dan and Rosie made their home on Saint Paul's East Side and raised three sons: Matt, Brent, and David. Rosie loved the Lord and demonstrated it through her words and actions. She had many beloved friends associated with Dan's campaigns for elected office, caregivers at HealthEast Hospice Care and Maplewood Cancer Center, coworkers at First Bank on Payne Avenue and Northwestern College, and the congregations of Cross Cultural, Payne Avenue, and First Evangelical Free Churches. Preceded in death by her father, Allan Oberg; and brother, David Oberg. Survived by her husband, Daniel Bostrom; mother, Helen Oberg; sister, Carol (Wallace) Tramm; three sons, Matthew (Cheryl) Bostrom, Brent (Janice) Bostrom, David (Tami) Bostrom; grandchildren, Emily, Grant, Luke, Seth, Rachel, Jonathan, Samuel, Michael, and Lydia; sisters and brothers-in-law, Richard and Nancy (Bostrom) Stahl, Warren "Mort" and Gloria Bostrom, and Bruce Noyes; nieces, Diana Skogen, Shadiann Schultz and Sandra Rose; nephews, Roger and Ross Tramm, Steven and Joshua Noyes, Daniel and Darin Stahl, and Warren and Patrick Bostrom. A memorial service will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, May 2, 2009 at FIRST EVANGELICAL FREE CHURCH, 2696 Hazelwood Street, Maplewood, MN 55109. Visitation will be 4:00-7:00 p.m., Friday, May 1, 2009, with a prayer and devotional at 6:45 p.m. ALL AT THE CHURCH. Private interment. Memorials are preferred to the First Ev. Free Church (Youth Ministry) and Cross Cultural Church (Community Outreach).
