A Gathering for Royal M. Sletten, age 89, of Stillwater, will be held on Thursday, May 11, 2006 from 4-6 PM at Bradshaw Celebration of Life Center, 2800 Curve Crest Boulevard. Interment will be in the Homer Cemetery in Pierpont, South Dakota. Mr. Sletten died in Stillwater on Friday, May 5, 2006 after a short illness. He was born on December 25, 1916 in Pierpont, South Dakota to Joseph and Josephine (Johanson) Sletten. Royal was preceded in death by first wife, Mae; second wife, Lillian Sletten Krech; parents; 2 sisters; 1 brother; son, Roger; & 2 grandchildren. He is survived by sons, Ralph (Veronica), Phillip (Sally), & Peter; step-son, Warren (Opal) Krech; 10 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren; 2 sisters; 1 brother; also many relatives and friends.
